How Tydi is used

Updated October 8, 2026. Tydi calculates how a restaurant bill can be divided. It does not send, collect, or record payments.

Your check

You confirm item names, prices, tax, tip, and who shared each plate. A photo may suggest rows, but you must check them. Tydi does not invent a missing price.

Credits

Generating one saved split uses one Creation Credit. Copying or opening that same split later is free. Credits are consumable, stored on this device, and are not restored after deletion or after Clear All Data.

Finished files

A finished split is saved as JSON and a styled image inside the app. You can copy the amounts or save the image to Photos. Those actions do not mean anyone has been paid.

Availability

If a file cannot be saved, the credit is not used. If you delete a finished split, the credit already used stays spent.
